On Julia Read's debut album, Go On Go, she sings of monsters and witches, of the bones of visibility and invisibility, of bodily presence and absence. She chases words she can’t find, seizing language and pulling it up by its roots, then abandoning it when the music alone becomes the most powerful link to her listeners’ emotions. Julia Read’s arresting music creates a state of tension between internal experience and the external world.

Julia sings while accompanying herself on the violin. She is joined by her friends on the accordian, guitars, bass, drums and oboe.
